The unique properties of 'Wild Rhythm' lie in its flexible product positioning and freedom of space. Unlike traditional exhibition halls that rigidly place each simulation cell, this design grows wildly, unrestricted by a specific product line. This freedom allows the space to be perceived as an exhibition hall, a gallery, a bar, or even a residential accommodation, depending on the viewer's perspective.
The design realization of 'Wild Rhythm' is a testament to simplicity and tradition. The materials used are primarily cement, steel, and paint, reflecting the essence of architecture. The craft is as simple as possible, with all planning aimed at returning to the most basic building level. This approach not only reduces waste but also ensures the design's practicality and functionality.
The project covers 240 square meters, with a high story height being its most significant advantage. However, a large column in the middle of the original building disrupted the space's integrity. To overcome this challenge, a scenario spiral stair was built around the original structural column, and a storage room was set up through the empty high relationship on the bar. This innovative solution increased the space's layering sense and actual use space.
Chao Wen's design philosophy is rooted in the belief that in a society with surplus consumption, people have slowly forgotten the essence of life. Through 'Wild Rhythm', the designer hopes to evoke a rethinking of life. The space is basic and simple, with the decoration and architecture integrated, and the design and selection of furniture based on actual use.
'Wild Rhythm' was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020. The award is a testament to the design's creativity, professional remarkability, and outstanding expertise and innovation. The design introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence.
